I need a Vacation after my Vacation!!

I know that I'm not the only one that feels this way right? I had a great time on my vacation visiting my brother and sister, nieces and nephews. But, sickness struck my youngest once again, and have been battling a double ear infection/pink eye since I got back. So, needless to say, scrapbooking has been put on the back burner!

This is what I have to do right now:

I have to clear this space so I can scrapbook!!! In addition to illness, I came home to surprise guests in my house that had to come into town suddenly for a funeral. While I was glad to offer my spare room, some of the boxes in there also got moved into my office/scrap space. It is far from inspiration inducing.

So, that's what I've got going on....hope to be scrapping again by the end of the week!

Me, Myself, and I

I've said it before, but I'm learning how to scrap for little boys. It's sooo hard for me not to use flowers, and bling, and girly papers. I just love them so much. But, I'm learning how to scrap for a boy in a way that I love.

This layout was so fun. Mainly because I love these pictures! My son when he was just 6 months old sat in front of the mirror for about 20 minutes just pointing, laughing, and talking to himself. It was precious. I was cracked up by how amused he was at himself. Thanks for stopping by!

So Happy to have YOU

Happy Sunday Scrappers!

I've had a good weekend so far. But, something was missing. My Sunday afternoon nap. Well, it just wasn't meant to be. My oldest kicked me out of my own bed because she wanted to nap with Daddy, and I just couldn't fall asleep downstairs in the basement...too cold. So, I decided to scrap instead.

This photo is of my daughter, who was almost 3 in this picture. You should be able to read the journaling (if you can read my writing) in the last picture.

Most of the stuff
here is from the Echo Park, Life is Good line. Hope all of you got some scrapping in over the weekend too!

To Read, Is to Dream

This layout was so fun. My daughter was 3 in this picture. She had received a big stack of books from her Grandpa. Her Grandma (my mother in law) had just passed away 2 months earlier, and he discovered all these children's books she had been saving for when her grandkids came to visit. He knew my daughter was obsessed with books, even though she can't even read yet. So, when we opened the package, she immediately grabbed one and started "reading". This was the picture I snapped.

Check back later this week for my very first giveaway!!

Got My Goodies

Today, I spent my nap time (meaning my kids' nap time) working on my blogs. I'm trying to streamline things a little and make it more user friendly. I'm debating whether or not to pay someone to re-design my blog for me. Hmmm...any thoughts? If you've paid someone to update your blog look, leave me a comment with their info. I am interested, but not sure I want to spend the money on that.

So, since I was working on that, I didn't get to scrap today. You'll have to wait for a new layout from me until tomorrow. Cause, I'm a little done being in my dungeon. :) Which is actually a pretty decent office/scrap room, but it's in the basement, and if I'm in here too long, I get a little crazy. I got home from the gym this morning and saw a package on my door step. YAY! My goodies from the blog giveaway came. Here's a pic of what I got.

A lot of good stuff there huh? Can't wait to use it all up!

It's inspired me to do a giveaway. I'm thinking later this week....so stay tuned!

Girls Can Drive Fire Trucks too....

I love doing a girly layout about something not-so-girly. Like, my daughter pretending to drive a fire truck. Multi-Photo layouts are always a challenge to me. I love doing single photo layouts, but I almost like just as much, trying to fit as many pics onto a page and make them look cute. It can easily look jumbled, or messy, or like you don't even have any paper to show because there are so many pics! It's a challenge that I can only do when I'm in a certain mood. The kind of mood where you have plenty of time, and can play around with it a ton before finally placing things where they make you happy.

This layout was fun. The journaling reads, "At her friend, Lincoln's b-day party, they visited a fire station. Avery was not afraid to sit on the front after the loud sirens went off. So many of the kids were scared. You never know, one day she might just grow up and decide that she wants....

TO DRIVE A FIRE TRUCK (the title)

The bling I used below was actually cell phone bling that I cut up to make a frame

LOOOVE this picture of her sticking out her tongue. My fav.

Growing Our Family Year by Year

It is so rare that my family all gets together. We live in Utah, Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. So, to get all of my siblings together, with their kids and my parents was a special treat. It's amazing how the family keeps growing every year. This was a very special memory that I wanted to use some of my favorite papers. My Bella Blvd stuff was perfect. What do you think?

A Family is Forever

I didn't want to crop these photos too much for fear of cropping out the beautiful flowers in them. So, I came up with a solution. I think it works nicely.

I find that I like things a little off centered too. I had the b&w pp going down smack dab in the center and it seemed too boring, so I had to change it up. This is the end result.

These are pictures of my little family, and the place where we were married 8 1/2 years ago. Thanks for looking!!

Weekend Scrapping

Scrapbooking on the weekend can either be wonderful, or crazy. I've had both.

This weekend was kind of crazy. Hubby was in a bad mood, the kids woke up from naps in the middle of scrapping. Aaah. Such is life.

But, I managed to finish this one up, and am happy to have gotten one done over the weekend. Maybe I can sneak in some more tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

This involves some:

Kissed By A Butterfly

Do you ever have those pages that when you think you know what you are going to do, they go in an entirely different direction?

Then, you're not sure if you like it all that much?

Well, this is one of those. It's growing on me though.
